Older Can Be Your Call to Greatness
If you are aging (and heck, who isn’t) and navigating life with your older parent(s), welcome in. Here we delve into best practices on how to feel more vital and experience more joy by continued growth. How to accept your older self, even in a world dominated by ageism. How to create more love and connection. How to use what you have to serve and fulfill your purpose. How to increase your safety and security. How to thrive—not because you are free of health limitations and heartache but how to thrive no matter your circumstances. It’s never too late or too early to start. Now is the time.
As a Gerontologist for over 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of a front-row seat to the aging journeys of thousands of men and women. Here’s what I know for sure – we can make older better. Each of us has the opportunity to experience more joy, more vitality and more connection later in life. I am delighted to share with you all that I’ve learned as a university professor in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology and director of the nation’s first Elder Abuse Forensic Center. Living a great life all the way to the end takes intention, knowledge and effort. Let’s start together, let’s start right now.
